Ca'di Alte Prosecco Extra Dry DOC
A Soft, Sophisticated Prosecco DOC from the Hills of Vicenza
My Wine Man on Ca'di Alte
Ca'di Alte is a family-run estate led by winemaker and director Alberto Marchisio, whose philosophy is simple: delicate, clean and balanced Prosecco that lets the Glera grape speak for itself. The estate's vineyards are planted primarily on the Colli Berici — the hills south of Vicenza in the Veneto — where the elevated terrain ensures lower yields and better ripeness than flatland DOC vineyards. The result is a Prosecco DOC with more character and refinement than average: soft, aromatic and beautifully balanced, with gentle Extra Dry sweetness that enhances its fruit expression.
Tasting Notes
Pale straw yellow with a fine, lively perlage. The nose is soft and inviting — delicate white flowers, ripe pear and fresh green apple with a subtle floral lift. On the palate, light and bright with gentle Extra Dry sweetness that enhances the fruit without heaviness. Fresh acidity keeps everything balanced, and the finish is clean, fruity and refreshing.
Style & Drinking Window
Light-bodied with fine bubbles and a soft, aromatic Extra Dry character. Serve well-chilled at 6–8°C. Drinking beautifully now through 2026.
Food Pairing
The soft floral character and delicate pear and apple notes of the Ca'di Alte Prosecco Extra Dry make it a wonderful match for I&J The Finest Frozen Raw Prawns (Tail Off) from My Meat Man. The wine's gentle Extra Dry sweetness and fresh acidity complement the sweet, delicate flavour of premium prawns beautifully — whether grilled with garlic and chilli, tossed through a light Vietnamese-style salad with lime and mint, or wrapped in prosciutto and served as a classic aperitivo.
Why This Is a Smart Buy
At HK$119, this delivers noticeably more character than standard supermarket Prosecco DOC — hillside-grown grapes from the Colli Berici, crafted by a dedicated family estate with a clear focus on balance and freshness. Its gentle Extra Dry style makes it one of the most approachable and food-friendly sparkling wines at this price point.
