Huon Valley Pinot Noir from Tasmania's Most Southerly Wine Region

The 2020 Home Hill Estate Pinot Noir is a wine of real energy and vibrancy — a Pinot Noir that embraces the character of the Huon Valley, Tasmania's most southerly and coolest wine region, and frames it in the enticing red-cherry purity that only comes from mature estate vines. Precise, mineral, and long, this is Tasmanian Pinot at its most compelling.

My Wine Man on Home Hill

Home Hill was established by Terry and Cathy Bennett in 1994 in the Huon Valley — a remote, cool-climate region south of Hobart that produces wines of extraordinary freshness and precision. The estate is one of Tasmania's most celebrated small producers, farming their own vines and making wine with a focus on site expression and minimal intervention. The Huon Valley's southerly latitude gives the wines a distinctive energy and brightness that sets them apart from other Tasmanian regions.

Tasting Notes

Impressive Huon Valley Pinot with the energy and vibrancy of this southerly Tasmanian region, framed in enticing and exact red-cherry purity from mature estate vines. Whole bunches and oak are accurately played — everything in its right place. Fine-grained, mineral tannins and bright acidity direct a long and promising finish.

Style & Drinking Window

Medium-bodied with fine-grained mineral tannins and bright acidity. Drinking beautifully now and will continue to develop through 2028–2030. Decant for 30–45 minutes to allow the aromatics to open.

Why This Is a Smart Buy
