Deep garnet shading toward brick. Dark plum, leather, tobacco, dried herbs, dark chocolate and cedar. The palate is full-bodied with fully integrated tannins and a long, complex finish.
Style & Drinking Window
Full-bodied with integrated tannins. Drinking magnificently now at peak maturity. Decant 30 minutes. Drink within 5–7 years.
Food Pairing
An 18-year-old McLaren Vale Shiraz at peak maturity deserves the finest match. We love it with Australian Grass-Fed Cape Grim Rib-Eye Steak from My Meat Man — dry-aged and char-grilled medium-rare with bone-marrow butter, a magnificent match for Love Grass's leather, tobacco and seamless mature complexity.
