Tasting Notes
Deep mahogany in the glass with a rich, viscous texture. The nose is bold and immediately evocative — dark molasses leads with ripe banana, dried fruit, and a hint of Jamaican funk, layered with warm vanilla and toasted oak from the barrel ageing. On the palate, the rum is rich, full-bodied, and deeply satisfying: dark fruit and molasses up front, building to warm spice — cinnamon, clove, and a touch of pepper — through the mid-palate. - 50ml Myers Dark Rum
- 150ml ginger beer
- 15ml fresh lime juice
- Ice
- Garnish: lime wedge, candied ginger (optional)
Method: Fill a highball glass with ice. Add the fresh lime juice, then pour in the ginger beer. Float the Myers Dark Rum over the top by pouring slowly over the back of a spoon — the rum's density will sit beautifully on top before being stirred in by the drinker. Garnish with a lime wedge and candied ginger if desired. Myers Planter's Punch
- 50ml Myers Dark Rum
- 30ml fresh orange juice
- 30ml fresh pineapple juice
- 20ml fresh lime juice
- 10ml grenadine
- Ice
- Garnish: orange slice, maraschino cherry, sprig of fresh mint
Method: Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake hard for 10–12 seconds. Strain into a tall glass over fresh ice. Garnish generously with an orange slice, a maraschino cherry, and a sprig of fresh mint.
