Les Longues Fins is a single-vineyard Sancerre from one of the appellation's most quietly celebrated estates — a wine of real precision and terroir character, built on the rich limestone soils that give Sancerre its unmistakable flinty edge and natural complexity.

My Wine Man on Domaine André Neveu

Domaine André Neveu is a family estate based in Chavignol — the most celebrated village in Sancerre, home to the famous Crottin de Chavignol cheese and some of the appellation's finest limestone and flint (silex) soils. The Neveu family has farmed these vineyards for generations, producing wines that are resolutely terroir-driven: no oak, no artifice, just the pure expression of Sauvignon Blanc on some of the Loire Valley's most distinctive soils. Les Longues Fins is their single-vineyard cuvée — a step up in concentration and mineral complexity from the estate Sancerre, sourced from a specific plot of rich limestone that amplifies the grape's natural richness and adds a compelling herbaceous depth.

Tasting Notes

Bright pale gold in the glass. The nose is classically Sancerre — gooseberry, fresh citrus and white peach, layered with a distinctive herbaceous thread and a cool, flinty mineral edge that speaks directly of the limestone soils. On the palate, well-balanced and round with a rich mid-palate, vibrant natural acidity, and a long, lingering finish of citrus zest and chalk. Immensely satisfying and precise.

Style & Drinking Window

Medium-bodied with polished acidity and a dry, mineral finish. Drinking beautifully now and will reward 2–4 years of cellaring. Serve at 10–12°C. No decanting required — the wine opens beautifully in the glass over 15–20 minutes.

Food Pairing

The flinty mineral precision and vibrant acidity of the 2022 Domaine André Neveu Sancerre Les Longues Fins make it an outstanding match for Australian Wild Caught Clamms Trevally Fillet (Skin-On) from My Meat Man

Why This Is a Smart Buy

Single-vineyard Sancerre from a respected Chavignol estate at HK$188 is genuinely compelling value. Les Longues Fins delivers the mineral complexity and terroir character of wines that regularly command significantly higher prices — a serious bottle for those who appreciate what great Loire Sauvignon Blanc can achieve.
