A longstanding mainstay of the ever-diversifying Teusner stable, Avatar has always been one of my Barossa GMS go-tos. Teusner's mastery in championing fruit and integrity before oak and artefact make for exquisite definition and detail, multi-dextrous food-matching versatility and downright deliciousness. Oh, and nothing is lost in longevity, either. Its true greatness is confirmed by superfine tannins, effortless fruit persistence and impeccable, understated oak support.
