From a single vineyard in Moppa, aged 18 months, 30% new French oak, and offered in the same heavy bottle as its namesake shiraz. This is reined-in, the sweet fruit expressive, a floral lift and a touch of eucalypt with savoury layers across the full-bodied palate of salumi, coffee grounds, wood smoke and iron. Certainly, it is rich and ripe but holds its 15% alcohol well, everything integrated.
